Tax Services for individuals, partnerships, corporations and trusts, including tax planning and compliance, IRS representation, selection of business entity (e.g. "S" corporation, sole proprietor, limited liability company........), estate and retirement planning.  In addition to being a Certified Public Accountant, I am an Enrolled Agent, authorized to represent taxpayers before the Internal Revenue Service

Accounting Services, including assistance with payroll processing, sales, use and property tax compliance, and working with clients accounting systems to ensure meaningful financial statements.  I am also an Advanced Certified QUICKBOOKS Pro Advisor.

Interim or Part-Time CFO/Controller - My experiences as a CPA is unique in that I have a broad background in both public and private accounting.  I have many years of experience working inside a company as a Controller or CFO, sometimes on a part-time basis when a company cannot justify hiring a full-time professional, or has a need to fill in during personnel gaps.  I also assist with financial forecast, projections, cash flow and budgeting.

I have over 30 years of diverse financial experience. Prior to having my own practice which I launched in 2001, I served as a consultant to startup companies, including Santa Barbara Technology Group, LLC, a private investment and consulting firm engaged primarily in working with early-stage technology companies. Previously I served as the first Chief Financial Officer of SupplySolution, Inc., an application service provider that targets the automotive industry, helping the company raise $7.1 million in its first round of venture capital financing. My background includes ten years in various financial capacities at publicly held software developer QAD Inc. There I held an assignment in the Office of the President from 1997 1999, after serving as Vice President and Chief Financial Officer from 1992 -1997 and as Controller from 1988 - 1992. Prior to joining QAD, I held the position of Director of SEC and Tax Accounting at Republic Indemnity Company of America from 1987 to 1988 and was Assistant Controller at Wrather Corporation from 1984 to 1987. From 1981 to 1983 I worked as an audit professional for Arthur Andersen & Company where I obtained my license as a Certified Public Accountant in the State of California. My Bachelor of Arts in Business Economics was earned at the University of California, Santa Barbara in 1981.
